Annual Downtown Chili Cook Off

Warm up your winter at the DTCA's ONLY fundraiser - the Annual Downtown Chili Cook-Off. This popular event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the State Street Marketplace. in Downtown Traverse City. The Chili Cook-off attracts over 1000 attendees each year who sample the many chilies and vote for their favorites. A tent will be put up behind the building to accommodate all of our chili-loving patrons! Additional seating will be provided inside so patrons can enjoy a local, hand-crafted brew from Monkey Fist Brewing Co. along with their chili. Area restaurants will be cooking up their special recipes as they compete in different categories – 1 and 3-alarm, white, vegetarian, seafood and ethnic as well as the coveted “people’s choice” award.
Tickets are $10 of a sampler of 8 at the door.
