Espresso Bay | Store Manager

Job Description: The Espresso Bay Manager will serve as a barista as well as being in charge of running day to day coffee shop operations on the busiest corner of downtown Traverse City. This is a fun, fast-paced environment with a lot of people interaction and will require many management responsibilities. This position is expected to work behind the counter on nights, weekends, and holidays when customers need to be served. They will also be available to assist other baristas when they have questions. Job Function: Smiling, laughing, and having fun everyday First in line of command during an emergency Hiring and Training team of baristas Field questions from staff during business hours Lead in training all new employees Place orders as needed for milk & other baked goods Weekly: Produce staff schedule based on previous week and year sales Weekly: Supply Group Order delivery Weekly GFS order online Weekly: Update Labor/Sales Spreadsheet Weekly: Produce grocery list for Costco and coordinate pick up Manage online order fulfillment Working with Assistant Manager in introducing new recipes, initiatives, etc to staff Bi-Annually: Conduct training checkups with employees for drink consistency [May &Sept] Bi-Annually: Special Event Organization & Implementation [Jan-June & July-Dec] Create & Maintain Annual Specials Calendar Storefront merchandise/coffee sales management
